Revenue, Simplified - May / June 2026 Newsletter

Welcome to the third edition of our newsletter, Revenue, Simplified. Summer is here, and we're excited about some big product updates coming in Q3. We're officially sponsoring another Dreamin' event in 2026. But first, let's see what's going on in the Salesforce world... or should we just go ahead and call them Agentforce and move on?

24 Certifications to be Retired in 2027

Do certifications really matter anyway? It depends who you ask. Hands-on experience will typically favor a list of certifications on your resume. However, we believe that certifications show a commitment and appreciation for that specific skill. Here are some highlights of the most affected areas:

  1. Salesforce CPQ - No surprise here, as CPQ is now end-of-sale. Salesforce would love if they could snap their fingers and have all of those CPQ customers on Revenue Cloud. However, recent polls show that many organizations are either sticking with CPQ or looking elsewhere 😄.
  2. NPSP (Nonprofit Success Pack) - Similar to CPQ and Rev Cloud, many orgs will likely stick with NPSP for quite some time.
  3. Marketing Cloud - Salesforce posted four certifications that they are "currently assessing" related to Marketing Cloud. Basically, they are pushing all of these to some sort of Agentforce focus. Go figure.
  4. Education Cloud, Heroku, Field Service, and more - Feels like crickets on whether or not there will be a valid transition plan for these professionals.

Phishing-Resistant MFA Going Live Soon

This is a big one, and will likely cause problems for admins all around the world next month. Basically, if you're a privileged user in Salesforce, regular MFA is no longer acceptable when logging in. You must use a phishing-resistant method, such as a security key or built-in authenticator. The following methods will not work:

  1. Salesforce Authenticator app
  2. Google and Microsoft Authenticator apps
  3. Email / SMS verification

To better understand the nuances of this enforcement, we recommend reviewing this well-written article from our friends at Fíonta - https://fionta.com/insights/prepare-for-salesforce-phishing-resistant-mfa-what-admins-need-to-know/.

Automated Quote & Invoice Delivery Service is Live

We know, everybody wants a fully autonomous quoting tool where they don't even have to log in to Salesforce anymore. Well, this is the foundation for that. With your own logic created as a Flow, you can easily implement something similar to give your reps an even simpler way to get quotes signed and/or paid. You'll be Slacking those quotes in no time!

Upcoming Events

We're super excited to be sponsoring Buckeye Dreamin' in Columbus at the end of July! If you'll be there, let us know or come find us. The Demo Jam is about to be 🔥.
